The Maclaren Volo pushchair is a lightest weight pushchair for life on the go. The great colours and designs mean that you can have even more fun with this perfect second pushchair. It's so light (3.9kg/8.6lb) it's just the job for taking the kids to nursery or on public transport. It is especially good for holidays too because it is so quick and compact to fold (one-handed!) and you can carry it over your shoulder with the carrying strap as you wander down to the beach. The single position, removable and washable seat is made of tough, breathable easy clean fabric. The seat, which has an adjustable 5 point harness for safety, now includes a hood and raincover so that there is even greater versatility. There are tall, ergonomic, soft grip handles, and it pushes and steers well on lockable 4.5" dual swivel wheels.

Bought this as a lightweight alternative to our XLR to take around Cuba. It’s excellent, light, easy to fold, compact enough to get to drag into the back seat of rickety Lada taxis and surprisingly nimble on disintergrating pavements while comfy enough for Tilly to sleep in.

We needed a 2nd buggy to stow at the nursery since the bugaboo bee was too bulky to fit into the “buggy cupboard”. First impressions, good quality and well made, Mclaren are clearly the market leader in the production of these types of buggies and it shows. The folding mechanism is very simple to use and early indications show that the ride is perfectly adequate for the nursery run. The 2 realtively minor downsides and could be remedied by other Maclaren models are that the seat has only one fixed position which is sitting and the handles are not adjustable although this will only be an issue if you are either very, very short or very, very tall!
